Set on the northern shore of Lake Victoria, Jinja is a large and historical town best known as East Africa’s adrenaline capital and source of the River Nile.
Expect to drive through Mabira forest on your way to Jinja, where we will have a stop over for zip lining. The area is located 80 km east of Kampala. In Jinja lies the Nile River, noted one of the longest rivers in the world, its source starts right from Jinja district. There are several activities that you will witness on your tour to the River Nile in Jinja, for example: kayaking, water rafting, boat rides, sight-seeing, and many other activities.
Day 1. Start the journey early morning, after breakfast. The first stop over will be made at magnificent Sezibwa Falls, a place known for its diverse culture and nature. With over 140 bird species, the falls is ideal for its hiking to the top of the falls and bird watching.
The next stop will be at Namawojolo, a quick stop point along the Kampala-Jinja highway known for its culinary. Here you will get to have the finest “Mchomo” and a few other snacks. We shall also make a stop over at Mabira forest for zip lining, lunch and nature walk giving you a chance to learn about the different plants and animals. We will continue driving to jinja, were we will rest.
Day 2. We have a full day of white water rafting (Breakfast/Lunch Provided).This is an optional activity, we will also include the famous quad biking along the shores of the Nile and snake through the remote villages in Jinja.
Day 3. Relax and take a boat tour the source of the Nile, explore jinja town – enjoy a Rolex at one of our favourite spots & Travel back to Kampala to your hotel in the evening.
